Makes: 2 cups
1 C Homemade Coconut Milk (p. 120)
1 T Honey
1 T Turmeric (juice or 1 thumb grated); or 1 t Turmeric Powder
Pinch of Black pepper
Pinch of Cinnamon
Pinch of Nutmeg
Hot Version: Stove top and pot
Cold Version: Blender or jar with a lid
1. Make the coconut milk. You can make this ahead of time, up to 1-2 days before.
2. Cold: Fresh turmeric: blend all of the ingredients until smooth. Strain.
Turmeric juice or powder: add all ingredients to a jar with a lid and shake well.
Pour into cups and serve.
3. Hot: Combine all ingredients in a pot. Heat on the stove. Strain out
turmeric shreds as you pour into ceramic mugs (no plastic/Styrofoam).
